Answer: Hello, I'm Ruchika Bajaj, currently pursuing B. Com Honors at Delhi University's Kamala Nehru College. I'd describe myself as a very curious individual, always motivated to participate in various competitions and activities.
Question : Can you share your experience participating in competitions like Stratathon? What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
Answer: Certainly, my first competition in college wasn't easy. Initially, there was a lot of uncertainty, and I didn't always succeed. However, with each competition, I learned valuable lessons. For example, during Stratathon, we faced the challenge of making our presentation stand out. We learned to include unique elements like skits and statistics to make our presentation memorable to the judges.
Question : What insights did you gain from competitions like the one around the telecom industry that contributed to your success?
Answer: Competing in the telecom industry competition taught me a lot about how telecom companies function and the importance of backing up research with references. It was eye-opening to learn about the infrastructure and services provided by telecom companies to reach consumers.
Question : You've achieved notable success in reasoning and commerce competitions. How have these improvements contributed to your performance in case competitions or strategic events?
Answer: Reasoning skills from my school days have been valuable, but case competitions require a different approach. Analyzing data and understanding commerce concepts have been crucial in formulating strategies and solutions for case competitions.
Question : Can you share a memorable moment or lesson learned from these events?
Answer: Winning is always the expectation, but the real satisfaction comes from delivering a memorable performance. In one competition, not being able to see others' performances made me realize the importance of making a lasting impression on the judges.
Question : Achieving rank 9 in a case competition at IIM Calcutta is commendable. What strategies did you employ to stand out in such a competitive environment?
Answer: The competition at IIM Calcutta was unique, focusing on Excel skills. I revisited my notes from a previous course and worked extensively on Excel formulas and analysis. It was a proud moment to excel in an area that required both skill and preparation.
Question : Your involvement with the incubation cell and 180 DC seems significant. How have they shaped your entrepreneurial mindset and problem-solving abilities?
Answer: Working on projects in the incubation cell taught me how to start a business from scratch, while 180 DC provided real-life problem-solving experiences. Both have nurtured my entrepreneurial spirit and analytical abilities.

Answer: I prioritize tasks based on their importance and deadlines. Balancing multiple commitments requires careful planning and sometimes tough decisions on what to prioritize.

Answer: I aspire to pursue a career in finance. My competition experiences have taught me the importance of staying motivated and constantly learning. I plan to leverage these experiences to excel in my chosen field.
